Westside Tire Keeps Eyes on Road Ahead
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – With the shortage of workers gripping the country, Westside Tire and Service reports that it took steps to retain its technicians.
All employees now share weekly profit-sharing pay on top of their hourly rates. In testimonials, team members also say they are shown respect and that management listens to their concerns and suggestions. To protect the health of team members and customers, Westside Tire now offers no-contact drop-off and pickup and no-contact paying.
Westside Tire gives back to its communities through food and back-to-school supply drives and holds charity car shows. Team members build a float for the Austintown Fourth of July parade with the proceeds donated to a worthy organization.
The company also presents an annual women’s car care clinic.
Founded in 1978 by Richard Rogenski Sr. as a single store, the company is now a full-service auto service center with locations in Austintown, Niles and Youngstown.
Rogenski’s children, Rich and Lisa, have run the business since his retirement in 2010.
