National Car Wash Company Pays $1.8M for 2 Sites

YOUNGSTOWN – A company involved in the development and operation of car washes across the country, Boing US Holdco, Inc., has purchased two properties totaling more than $1.8 million in Mahoning County over the last two months.

This week, the $875,000 purchase of a vacant commercial lot on the edge of Salem in Mahoning County could lead to development on East State Street between Aaron’s Rentals, Home Depot and the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe.

According to the Mahoning County Auditor’s records, Dinsio Properties, LLC sold the 2.38-acre site July 11. Previously, the real estate was owned by Linda A. Dinsio, the only other owner listed since the parcel was created in 2004 before it was transferred to Dinsio Properties.

The most recent appraisal values the lot at $295,560 for tax purposes, auditor’s records show.

Boing US Holdco also purchased another Mahoning County property on May 11, the former Citizens Bank building and lot at 6071 Mahoning Avenue in Austintown Township. That sale was for $950,000 from SLW Development LLC, according to the auditor.

The company’s address at 440 South Church St., Charlotte, N.C., is the same address as Driven Brands, one of the largest automotive service conglomerates in the world with more than 4,400 locations and 8,400 employees in the U.S., Europe and Australia.

Driven Brands acquired International Car Wash in August of 2020. Now Driven Brands Car Wash, the subsidiary “continues to focus on developing and growing the brand through a combination of acquisitions, greenfield expansion, continuous innovation and customer engagement,” according to its website.

Driven Brands Car Wash reports it operates more than 1,000 locations in 14 countries. In May, the company opened its 350th location in the United States, a Take 5 Car Wash in Little Rock, Ark., according to a press release dated May 22.

The Little Rock location serves as a pilot for the potential national rollout of 83 locations, the press release said.
