Premier Bank Pledges $50K to Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Premier Bank has pledged $50,000 to Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley. The funds will be used for the emergency department expansion project underway at the Market Street campus.
“We are proud to be a part of the emergency department expansion project [at Akron Children’s Hospital] as they continue working to improve the health of children through outstanding quality patient care, education, advocacy, community service and research,” said Trish Gelsomino, foundation giving coordinator for Premier Bank.
The expansion will allow the hospital to minimize the time families wait to see a caregiver, the length of their stay in the emergency department and enable the hospital to provide care in an environment that is both safe and comfortable for families.
“Our current emergency department does not always provide timely and family friendly care for families due to its current design and space restrictions,” said Jeannine Donatelli, major gift officer. “The emergency department renovation is the top priority for the hospital, as it is not only the gateway to the hospital for most patients but also the primary economic driver for the hospital.”
