YBI to Host Phase 3 of Business Accelerator Program
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Applications are now open for Phase 3 of the Business Accelerator Program at the Youngstown Business Incubator in partnership with Ohio Minority Business Assistance Center Youngstown/Warren Region.
“Grow: Creating Economies of Scale” is a four-week program that provides workshops and educational sessions that focus on developing strategies to expand services and production. Graduates will be connected with procurement officers of local governments and agencies, lending agents, potential investors where appropriate, and established businesses for potential joint ventures.
Economies of scale are cost advantages reaped by companies when production becomes efficient. Achieving economies of scale means increasing production and lowering costs. The costs are spread over a larger number of products or services, which lowers the price for consumers.
Classes will be held at the Youngstown Business Incubator 241 W. Federal St. on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. beginning Oct. 12.
The program is open to any minority-owned business within the Mahoning Valley who has been in business for a minimum of three years and is looking to expand the business through marketing.
Space is limited so acceptance will be on a first-come first-serve basis. Once reviewed, an email will be sent to confirm acceptance along with program guidelines and onboarding.
There is a $50 non-refundable fee due upon acceptance, with information to follow upon acceptance.
Visit ybi.org/mbac/mbac-grow/ to apply.
