Ohio State Bar Association Honors Bolton, Dutton
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State Bar Association this week recognized two Youngstown attorneys for 50 years of service to the community and the legal profession.
The honorees are Stephen T. Bolton and Paul M. Dutton. They were recognized as part of the Ohio Bar’s District 13 annual meeting at the Mill Creek Metro Parks Daniel L. Rossi auditorium. District 13 includes nearly 400 attorneys who practice in Columbiana and Mahoning counties
Bolton is retired from the firm of Manchester, Newman & Bennett, where he began his career, practiced the in the area of commercial litigation and served as president since 1991 up to his retirement. Bolton is a former member of the Ohio Bar Board of Governors and served as the representative for the bar’s 13th district from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, he served many years as a member of the Ohio Bar Council of Delegates. In addition to the Ohio Bar, he is a member of the Mahoning County Bar Association, where he was recognized with the 2008 professionalism award. Bolton earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Virginia
Dutton is a partner at the firm of Harrington Hoppe & Mitchell Ltd. where he focuses his practice on business law, mergers and acquisitions, real estate development, estate planning, elder law and public sector law. Along with the Ohio Bar, he is a member of the Mahoning County Bar Association and the Nathaniel R. Jones Inn of Federal Court. In his community, Dutton serves as solicitor for the village of Lordstown and as general counsel to the Valley Economic Development Partners, formerly the Mahoning Valley Economic Development Corporation. He has served as a trustee at Central State University, as chair of the Ohio Board of Regents and as a trustee of Youngstown State University, where he continues to teach as an adjunct instructor in business ethics. Dutton has also served on the Ohio Courts Futures Commission of the Ohio Supreme Court and is the director of the Akron Children’s Hospital Foundation. He earned his undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University and his law degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
