Vidale to Build $3.2M Plaza in Boardman
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A $3.2 million multi-tenant plaza is planned for the site of a former McDonald’s restaurant on Boardman-Canfield Road, its developer announced Thursday.
Developer Terrill Vidale says the new plaza will be named “Prosper Centre” and will consist of four suites. The anchor tenant is Sapphire Aesthetics & Wellness, a medical spa and personal wellness center.
Sapphire Aesthetics, currently located at 755 Boardman-Canfield Rd., is expected to move into 3,225 square-feet of space in the new building, Vidale said. The business said that it needs additional room to meet growing demand, he added.
The three other suites measure 1,290 square feet, 2,200 square feet, and 2,220, Vidale said. “We’re working on some other tenants for the building,” he said.
A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at the site,15 Boardman-Canfield Road, Vidale said, next to the Men’s Wearhouse building near the Market Street intersection.
Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, state Sen. Michael Rulli, and Mahoning County commissioners are expected to attend the ceremony.
“I have been driving past that site for almost a decade and every time, I always told myself, ‘That would be a perfect location for a plaza,’” Vidale said. “So here we are almost a decade later, and I figured I will be the one to build the plaza.”
Prosper Centre is expected to be completed by spring 2023, Vidale said.
