SRMC Lifts Final Beam at Firestone Farms Project
COLUMBIANA, Ohio – The new Salem Regional Medical Center Surgery and Outpatient Pavilion took another big step toward completion at the Firestone Farms TownCenter here as workers celebrated raising the project’s final beam on Oct. 13.
Construction of the medical center is scheduled for completion in 2023. It is part of SRMC’s strategic plan to provide the community with more convenient access to advanced outpatient procedures and treatments at a lower cost than traditional hospital-based services, according to Dr. Anita Hackstedde, SRMC president and CEO.
“We’re excited to see this new facility come to life as we continue to build upon our legacy of delivering world-class care that will directly impact the overall health of our communities,” Hackstedde says. “The new facility will feature an outpatient surgery and endoscopy center, advanced medical imaging, infusion therapy services and specialty physician offices.”
The construction team includes Wilmot Sanz as project architect and Shook Construction as the construction manager.
SRMC has served the Columbiana community at the Firestone Farms TownCenter for five years. It already provides services at the Columbiana Family Care Center, the SRMC Imaging Center and the SRMC Immediate Care, offering walk-in care for minor illnesses and injuries seven-days a week at 116 Carriage Drive.
