New Vehicle Sales in Mahoning Valley Slip in November
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Volume sales of new cars and trucks to Mahoning Valley customers were slightly lower during November when compared with the same period last year, according to the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association.
The organization’s monthly report shows new vehicle sales to customers in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties dropped 4.1%. In November, dealers reported a total of 1,788 new units sold, compared with 1,866 sold during November 2021.
Combined sales of new and used vehicles were also sluggish compared with last year, the report shows.
Sales to Mahoning Valley customers dropped from 4,166 units sold in November 2021 to 3,783 sold last month, a decrease of 9%.
Used vehicle sales plummeted 13%, from 2,227 sold in November 2021 to 1,930 sold last month, the report shows.
Boardman Subaru sold the most new vehicles among local dealers during November with 113. Fred Martin Ford recorded the second-highest number of vehicles sold with 92; Greenwood Chevrolet stood at third with 91; Sweeney Chevrolet was fourth at 87 units sold; and Sweeney Buick GMC posted the fifth-best numbers with 83 new vehicles sold, the report said.
