Progressive Pipe to Open Masury Plant, Create 75 Jobs
MASURY, Ohio – Progressive Pipe Fabricators, a division of Shambaugh & Son, plans to open a 50,000 square-foot fabrication facility at 1433 Standard Ave. here,.
The new plant is necessary to support strong product demand. Progressive Pipe plans to fabricate and deliver more than 20,000 individual sprinklers per week and have the capacity to ship more than one million pounds of fabricated sprinkler pipe per week, according to information provided by Team NEO.
Progressive Pipe expects to create 75 full-time jobs, generating $4.1 million in new payroll, according to the Ohio Department of Development. The Ohio Tax Credit Authority today approved a 1.417% job creation tax credit over seven years to support the project.
“We couldn’t be more excited about this new facility,” said Rob Vincent, Shambaugh chief operating officer for its National Fire Protection division. “By expanding our fabrication capabilities throughout the United States, our new shop will now serve a much larger geographic area.”
The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, JobsOhio, ODOD, and Team NEO collaborated with Progressive Pipe and provided resources and insights to help the project.
