Youngstown Goodwill Gets New Leadership
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries has been serving the region for more than 125 years and plans to expand its services this year.
In addition to its main office on Belmont, the nonprofit boasts nine retail stores and donation centers. It closed the Hubbard store in July and found a new space in Pine Tree Plaza in Niles. The new store and donation center, 56 Youngstown Warren Road, is set to open in the first quarter of 2023.
“We are eager to become part of the Niles community,” says Annie Phillips, who was named Goodwill CEO in June. “When making these decisions, we strive to learn more about all of the communities we serve and find locations that are accessible to the people in them.”
Following Phillips’ transition into her new role, Joe Paloski was hired as vice president of mission services and established a missions team of three career services managers to focus on Goodwill’s community outreach and extensive employment services.
“Reinforcing the value of people and sharing the power of work with individuals, families, fellow service-oriented organizations and employers is the core of what we do,” Phillips says.
Goodwill also increased its vision services to include a vision monthly support group at Goodwill’s Belmont office. Meetings feature guest speakers who present insight or helpful resources related to vision or vision issues.
Youngstown Goodwill employs more than 300.
