Aim Transportation Solutions Thrives in 2022
GIRARD – Aim Transportation Solutions anticipates strong and steady growth in all segments following a historic finish in 2022 and a hot start to 2023, reports Tom Fleming, chairman and CEO.
Aim Transportation Solutions, headquartered in Girard, is made up of Aim Leasing Co. and Aim Integrated. Aim provides truck leasing, commercial vehicle rentals, dedicated contract carriage, maintenance programs, professional shop management, 3PL brokerage services and pre-owned vehicle sales. Aim operates approximately 11,000 vehicles out of more than 100 locations with 1,000 employees nationwide.
Aim Leasing Company’s total revenue jumped 12% in 2021 and maintained through 2022, according to the CEO. The company finished the year adding more than 100 new long-term lease customers and still has more than 1,000 vehicles on order going into the new year.
“2021 was an unprecedented year at Aim, shattering every sales record, which many of us thought it would be near impossible to top so soon. But here we are having done just that the very next year,” says Matt Svancara, executive vice president of sales and marketing. “2022 was truly extraordinary, and it’s a testament to our sales team, everyone working behind the scenes and the Aim brand as a whole.”
Rental revenue jumped 17% after already increasing a 39% in 2021, according to Svancara. Month after month, across Aim’s service locations nationwide, rental equipment utilization levels remain locked at record-setting levels as businesses seek extra equipment to keep up with consumer demand, according to Svancara.
Aim’s maintenance revenue rose 22% with more companies relying on Aim for one-off repairs and preventive maintenance as well as all-in-one solutions such as managed fleet maintenance and professional shop management (ProShop).
“As each year presents a new set of industry-wide challenges, more businesses are leaning heavily on companies like Aim rather than battle these headaches themselves,” says Geoff Fleming, Aim co-president. “Our extraordinary growth, particularly over the last few years, is directly because of our preparedness to take on any turbulence the industry throws at us while maintaining the unparalleled level of service and personalized attention, care and flexibility we’ve built our family-owned brand on.”
Aim Integrated Logistics, which offers a complete transportation solution with trucks, drivers and logistics management, surged 11%. Led by Chief Operating Officer Dave Gurska, the division added 13 customers and stands firm in the top 25 dedicated carrier lists compiled by Transport Topics and Armstrong & Associates.
“With the ever-worsening driver shortage – plus mechanic and equipment shortages – a growing number of businesses are choosing to outsource their fleet operations,” says Gurska. “This trend is reflected in Aim Integrated Logistics’ year-over-year growth. In 2021 we added eight new dedicated fleet customers. In 2022, we added 13, which is not only indicative of the state of the industry but also our ability to hire and retain drivers while enhancing and adding value to our customers’ operations.”
Aim Integrated Logistics also is gaining momentum with its freight brokerage service, Aim 3PL, which connects shippers with reputable carriers. After expanding the in-house brokerage team and adding a slew of new technologies, the service saw a leap in revenue for the third year in a row, according to Scott Fleming, Aim co-president.
“Last year’s growth, awards and ability to give back to the community are because the hard work, dedication and expertise of everyone working at Aim,” he says. “It’s because of them and their belief in our customer-first mission we’ve continued to grow – despite industry challenges, economic downturns and even the pandemic – and are in a great position heading into 2023 and beyond.”
