NCDMM Announces Promotions of Spinos, Cramer
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — The National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining recently announced two promotions within the organization.
Gino Spinos and Josh Cramer will assume new and expanded positions to further the growth of the NCDMM mission – to deliver advanced collaborative manufacturing solutions that enhance our national defense and military readiness.
Spinos, who joined NCDMM in 2019 as the director of manufacturing engineering, has been promoted to executive director. He will continue to manage manufacturing, technology, and roadmapping programs while maintaining and building customer relationships. He will also have the responsibility of overseeing the project and program management activities across NCDMM.
With nearly 30 years of technology, process and manufacturing experience from industry and military perspectives, Spinos has maintained a strong focus on enhancing Department of Defense capabilities, improving sustainability, compliance, efficiency and effectiveness, cost reduction, and transitioning advanced and next-generation technologies to best support the warfighter.
“Gino has remained a great asset to the NCDMM operational team since joining the organization,” said Jim Fisher, vice president and chief operating officer. “He has done a tremendous job with team, personnel, and program management while driving internal processes and efficiencies. His strong business acumen continues to be instrumental in developing new and existing relationships and I am confident he will help drive NCDMM forward.”
In addition to Spinos, Josh Cramer will now assume the position of director of education and workforce development across the NCDMM organization, including America Makes. He joined NCDMM in 2018 as the director of EWD for America Makes and has been instrumental in developing a strategy that has grown the program’s portfolio and overall brand identity. Due to his extensive background in education, workforce development, and programming, he has been a catalyst for several EWD initiatives that have been utilized or modeled across the country.
With 20 years of experience, Cramer previously served as the director of educational programs at the SME Education Foundation,. During his time with the foundation, he also served as the interim executive director. He was responsible for collaborating with manufacturing partners to assess the knowledge and skillset needed to establish strategic plans while building programs to meet the skills gap needs of manufacturers.
“With this restructuring, and under Josh’s leadership, the EWD team will not only be able to continue the great work at America Makes, but also guide NCDMM in the development of a consistent EWD strategy to grow the advanced manufacturing industry,” says Fisher.
Fisher continued, “The NCDMM Board of Directors and leadership congratulate Gino and Josh on their accomplishments. Their experience and history of producing results within the organization will remain pivotal as we continue to give the United States warfighter every advantage possible through advanced manufacturing.”
