Sheetz Surpasses 2 Million EV Charging Sessions
ALTOONA, Pa. – Restaurant and convenience store chain Sheetz reports its customers have charged their electric vehicles more than 2 million times across its network of EV stations.
Sheetz has one of the largest EV charging networks in the country with 650 EV chargers at 95 of its store locations, the company said, and plans to expand its footprint.
Among the locations with EV recharging ports is a Sheetz service store and restaurant in Weathersfield Township.
An early adopter of EV charging, Sheetz installed its first EV charger in Pennsylvania in 2012. Sheetz surpassed 1 million charging sessions at this same time last year.
“With nearly 700 stores across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and Ohio, Sheetz has an established infrastructure with plans to expand our electric vehicle charging network in the future,” said Trevor Walter, vice president of Petroleum Supply Management at Sheetz.
All Sheetz locations are open 24 hours, seven days a week.
Sheetz is opening its first store in Dayton, Ohio, next year and expanding into Michigan in 2025, the company said.
