The Update | ‘Six Ages of Woman’ at Robins Theatre; Country Fest with Higbee

WARREN, Ohio – “Six Ages of Woman,” a one-woman comedy show by actor/comedian Mary Faktor will come to Robins Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 16, at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $18 or $25 (plus fees) and are available at the box office, 160 E. Market St., and at robinstheatre.com.

The show, billed as the ultimate girls’ night out, originated decades ago and is suitable for mothers and daughters. It delivers a message of hope, change and growth, and is continuously updated to keep up with the times.

“The Six Ages of Woman” chronicles the life of Vicki through hilarious phone conversations with her best friend, Madge.

Watch time pass before your eyes as Vicki changes from starry-eyed teenager discovering love, to newlywed bride full of romantic dreams, to expectant mother anticipating the joys of parenthood, to frenzied housewife with over-active toddlers, to menopausal woman reentering the workforce, to grandmother beginning her retirement.

Country Music Fest with Chris Higbee

WARREN, Ohio – A country music festival featuring Chris Higbee will take place May 13 at Griffin-Sloas Airfield, 4033 N. River Road NE.

Doors will open at 3 p.m. for the Country for Kids Music Festival, with the music starting at 4 p.m. The opening acts are Human Way and Alex Seier. Karli Datish will be the emcee.

Proceeds will benefit local foster youths and foster families served by Northeast Ohio Adoption Services.

Muralists Sought for Dave Grohl Alley

WARREN, Ohio – The Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County is seeking muralists to submit ideas for a mural for Dave Grohl Alley, downtown.

The mural will complement the LED light display in the pedestrian tunnel in front of Modern Methods Brewing.

Big Bounce Inflatables at Mall

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Yo Big Bounce will introduce itself to the area with a special event at Southern Park Mall on Saturday, April 29, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The company offers oversized inflatables for events.

Friendly Squares Set Monthly Dance

WARREN, Ohio – The Friendly Squares next monthly square dance (Pie Night) will be Saturday, May 13, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the Howland Senior Center, 8273 High St.

Sutliff Plans Bus Trip to Frick Art Center

WARREN, Ohio – The Sutliff Museum will sponsor a one-day bus tour to Frick Art and Historical Center in Pittsburgh on May 24.

Guests will take a guided tour of Clayton House, the home of industrialist Henry Clay Frick. After the tour, they can wander the grounds and visit the art museum, carriage house and welcome center before departing for nearby Bakery Square for lunch and shopping. The trip will leave at 7:30 a.m. from the Elm Road Wal-Mart parking lot and return by 6 p.m.
