Public Library Fundraising Event Set for June 1
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Literary Society of the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County will host its annual Ladies in Little Black Dresses for Literacy fundraising event at 6 p.m. June 1 at The Lake Club in Poland.
Tickets are $60 each and include appetizers, summer fare and a glass of wine. There will also be a cash bar and raffle. Reserve a spot HERE.
The event will benefit the Martha Muransky Children’s Literacy Fund. Sponsors include The Muransky Companies, #1 Cochran, PNC Bank and the Frank and Pearl E. Gelbman Charitable Trust Foundation.
Attendees can bring a book by their favorite author to swap with other participants. They can also donate gently used and new children’s books. Attendees are encouraged to wear black, which was chosen to represent the written word.
