Howland Farmers Market to Kick Off Summer Season
HOWLAND, Ohio – The Howland Farmers Market will open its summer market season Saturday at Richard E. Orwig Park, 8189 E. Market St.
The market, a program of the Howland Township trustees, will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
More than 30 participating vendors will have fresh, locally grown vegetables, microgreens, seasonal fruits, farm fresh eggs, sweets, local honey, homemade crafts, health and beauty items and more. There also will be cooking demonstrations featuring ingredients purchased at the market.
The market accepts SNAP/EBT and PEBT. It has also partnered with Produce Perks Midwest to match SNAP purchases dollar for dollar up to $25 per day.
