Bank of America Awards $10K to Habitat for Humanity
STRUTHERS, Ohio – Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning Valley has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation.
The grant will allow Habitat for Humanity to build more homes in the area, creating “more local housing opportunities … with even more families securing a decent and safe place to live,” said executive director Monica Craven in a statement.
“We cannot thank Bank of America enough for this generous donation to our work,” she said. “It is companies like theirs who demonstrate their commitment to affordable housing through generous donations of time and treasure that make Habitat’s work possible.”
A check presentation will be held in the coming months and Bank of America employees will work at one of Habitat’s build sites in September, said Jennifer Hurd, Bank of America’s Ohio market manager.
“This generous investment promotes the relationship between Bank of American Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning Valley with a solid foundation to continue doing great things together down the road,” she said in a statement.
