United Way to Break Ground on New Center in Boardman
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley will break ground Monday at the site of its new Volunteer Resource Center.
A ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the site, 8133 Market St., Boardman.
Representatives from the United Way staff and board, as well as representatives from The James and Coralie Centofanti Charitable Foundation, will attend the ceremony. The Centofanti Foundation is donating $1 million toward the new facility.
United Way also received $1.5 million from the fiscal year 2022 federal funding package. U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, secured the funds through the Senate Appropriations Committee. Representatives from Brown’s office will also attend the ceremony.
