Library Trustees Welcome Bayer as Newest Member
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County Board of Trustees recently voted to approve Denise Glinatsis Bayer as the newest member of the board.
Bayer was appointed to the seat left vacant by Mary Lou Reyes, who retired from the board in August. Bayer’s term will expire in 2025.
Bayer is currently the vice president, senior trust officer at Premier Bank. Before joining the financial industry, she spent 15 years as an attorney representing businesses and nonprofits, including PLYMC, while she was at Harrington Hoppe & Mitchell, the law firm contracted to represent the library.
Bayer earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Youngstown State University and her Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve School of Law. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Mahoning County Bar Association and the Mahoning-Shenango Valley Estate Planning Council.
She serves on local boards, including Opera Western Reserve, the Lucy R. Buechner Hall Board of Trustees, the Western Reserve Health Foundation, the Mahoning County Bar Foundation, the Henry H. Stambaugh Auditorium Association and the Tod Homestead Cemetery Association’s Board of Trustees.
“We are thrilled to welcome Denise to our board of trustees,” said Carole Weimer, president of the PLYMC board. “She brings an incredible sense of service to the Valley, and we look forward to learning from and working with her.”
