#1 Cochran Campaign to Raise Money for Joanie Abdu Center
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – #1 Cochran dealerships are looking to Put the Brakes on Breast Cancer.
During the fundraising campaign, $1 from the first 5,000 oil changes in October will be donated to a charitable organization to help fight breast cancer.
In #1 Cochran’s Youngstown Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Nissan dealerships, funds from the oil changes, as well as team member contributions, will go to the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
“The partnership with #1 Cochran means generosity, community involvement and caring about people who are less fortunate, like those women who come through the Joanie Abdu center, who are all treated without worrying about bills or whether they have insurance or not,” said Dr. Rashid Abdu, founder of the center that is named after his wife.
The local campaign is part of a larger effort throughout the #1 Cochran automotive group in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Last year the campaign raised $14,000.
“We chose the Joanie Abdu center here in our Youngstown region because of the great work they do in detection, treatment and overall care for breast cancer patients, as well as to continue the tradition of supporting this organization established by the Sweeneys more than 10 years ago,” said Derek Snyder, Ohio platform director at #1 Cochran.
Local #1 Cochran dealerships are open for oil change service from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
