Sapphire Aesthetics and Wellness Opens at New Location
BOARDMAN, Ohio – A holistic health and wellness business that opened last year has expanded its footprint in a new plaza at 15 Boardman-Canfield Road.
“We were able to triple our size,” said Ashley Vidale, owner of Sapphire Aesthetics and Wellness. The business was previously located at 755 Boardman-Canfield Road. “We’re able to take on more clients and get people in and out of the door quicker, because our capacity is just bigger.”
Vidale said the company provides an array of aesthetic services such as treatments for skin, hair restoration and removal and other procedures. However, the company also concentrates on a wellness aspect that includes weight management strategies and body sculpting that can have important health benefits.
The company has also brought on more staff to the new location, Vidale said, and has added new technology to serve the local market. Aside from Vidale, a nurse practitioner, the business now employs two additional registered nurses and an advanced esthetician.
“We have four people who are now able to run treatments,” she said. A fifth employee at the front desk attends the technical and workflow responsibilities of the operation.
Among the new equipment the center has added is the Motus AZ+, a laser treatment that is used for hair removal, treatment for brown spots on the skin, photofacial restoration – which helps to stimulate collagen and tighten skin and pores – and addressing other skin conditions such as rosacea and spider veins.
Another device, the VirtueRF, uses heat to improve skin tone and complexion, while the ExactRF is used for more detailed treatments, Vidale said.
All of the company’s body-sculpting treatments – using such equipment as the Emsculpt Neo device – are noninvasive, Vidale added. “The majority of our treatments are 30 minutes,” she said.
Clients are first given an assessment to determine what treatment would work best for them, she said, touching on the person’s medical and surgical history and past or current medications.
“The first consultation isn’t just about me getting to know the client – it’s about the client getting to know me as well, so they can be comfortable,” Vidale said.
She added that these services are in high demand across the Mahoning Valley. “I’m excited about that,” she said, since Sapphire focuses on both appearance and wellness benefits.
Most of clients are women, but Sapphire also has several male customers, Vidale said.
“We’ve brought on new staff, new technologies, and we’re just ready to broaden our patient intake as well,” Vidale said.
Sapphire is the first tenant in the newly constructed Prosper Centre, a $3.2 million plaza that broke ground last year by Vidale’s husband, developer Terrill Vidale.
