Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh Awards $600K Grant to YNDC for Duplexes
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A $600,000 grant will assist Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp.’s development of two new duplexes on Glenwood Avenue.
Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh’s affordable housing program awarded the funds last week to YNDC for affordable housing development, YNDC said in a news release Tuesday morning.
PNC Bank is the member bank supporting YNDC’s application and partnering on the project, which will be completed in 2024, according to the release.
“YNDC is happy to announce this investment that will allow for the creation of additional high quality new housing units along the greater Glenwood Avenue corridor as part of our long term and incremental neighborhood stabilization work.,” Ian Beniston, YNDC executive director, said. “We are grateful to our partners at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, PNC Bank, City of Youngstown, The Raymond John Wean Foundation, Flying High and others for their support and partnership in creating this success.”
