New Business Filings in Ohio Down in November
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose on Thursday announced 12,568 new business filings in November, a decrease of 444 businesses compared with filings from November 2022.
“For several months, Ohio’s business filings have alternated between increases and decreases compared to year-over-year,” a news release from the secretary of state’s office states. “Given the pattern, an off month that is consistent with the NFIB Small Business report is to be expected.”
The state has seen 169,442 new businesses created so far in 2023. The state is 9,194 new business filings away from a record-breaking year, the release states.
