Vineyards at Pine Lake Wins 6 Awards at National Competition

COLUMBIANA, Ohio – The Vineyards at Pine Lake winery, 14101 Market St., took home six awards at the 2024 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

The winery won Best in Class for its 2022 Vignoles ($17).

Other awards won by The Vineyards at Pine Lake include:

• 2022 American Chardonnay, $19, Bronze.
• 2020 American Gewurztraminer, $15, Bronze.
• Ohio Cold Front, $27, Bronze.
• 2019 Grand River Valley Blanc de Blancs, $59, Gold.
• 2022 American Moscato, $19, Silver.

More than 50 judges evaluated more than 5,500 wines from nearly 1,000 wineries during the competition.

Two other wineries from northeastern Ohio also did exceptionally well. Debonne Vineyards in Madison took home three awards, and Ferrante Winery won nine awards.

Michael Angelo’s Winery in Richfield won 12 awards, and Silver Crest Cellars of Madison won four.
