The Lodge at Geneva Offers Wine Country Getaway Packages

GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE, Ohio – The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake is offering wine country getaway packages for Valentine’s Day and beyond.

Guests can celebrate with a special Valentine’s dinner at Horizons Restaurant and extend the romance with an overnight stay and breakfast the next morning.

The Valentine’s dinner will be available from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14. Regular menu favorites will be available as well. For reservations, call 440 466 7100 and press 2.

Menu offerings include zesty roasted tomato soup; a braised short rib arancini appetizer, choice of a grilled filet medallion and garlic shrimp scampi or the vegan carmelized fennel tarte tatin.

Dessert options include blackberry lavender cheesecake, strawberry chocolate ganache cake or red velvet crème brule.

During February, The Lodge is offering two passes for its wine shuttle bus for the price of one. The cost of one pass is $5 (plus tax).

The shuttle offers three winery stops as part of each reservation.

Departure times:

• Sunday-Thursday: 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m.
• Friday and Saturday: 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m.

Getaway packages include:

• Sweetheart Package: This romantic package includes an overnight stay, chocolates, a bottle of The Lodge Riesling, two keepsake wine glasses and breakfast for two the next morning at Horizons Restaurant.

• Wine Country Package: This signature package provides the option to enjoy a self-guided tour to several Grand River Valley wineries or just sit back and relax with a glass of your favorite wine. The package includes a one-night stay, one $50 Horizons Restaurant dinner voucher, a bottle of wine and two keepsake wine glasses in the room, breakfast for two the next morning at Horizons Restaurant and a self-guided area winery map.

• Two-Night Wine Excursion Package: This package includes a two-night stay, wine shuttle on one day for two people to local wineries, one wine tasting at a local winery, a wine tasting flight in Horizons Restaurant for two and breakfast for two each morning at Horizons. • Bed & Breakfast Package: This package includes a one-night getaway with breakfast.
