YCAR Presents $26K Donation to Veteran’s Haven

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Columbiana Association of Realtors recently presented a check for $26,000 to Veteran’s Haven.

Each year, the YCAR president chooses a charity to receive funds raised by association members and affiliates. Michael Stevens, the association’s 2023 president, chose Veteran’s Haven, a program that supports homeless veterans in the community in their efforts to achieve greater self-sufficiency, including the ability to secure and maintain permanent housing.

In July 2023, YCAR and the Beaver Creek Area Association of Realtors held their annual combined golf outing, an event that brought in record-breaking funds for the chosen charity, a news release states. YCAR also collected money through membership dues and various small efforts during the year, raising a total of $28,500 for Veteran’s Haven. The majority of the funds were presented during a check presentation Friday.
