Valley Industrial Trucks Named ‘Dealer of Excellence’

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Valley Industrial Trucks, a full-service dealer of material handling products including fork lifts, hand trucks and dock equipment, was named a “Dealer of Excellence” by Clark Material Handling Co. Clark invented the world’s first forklift in 1917.

“I am very proud of our team being recognized by Clark for their hard work and dedication,” said Jim Hammond, Valley Industrial’s president. “We will continue to be the best dealer we can be for our customers and employees as we continue throughout 2015 and beyond. “

Valley Industrial was one of four companies to receive the designation at an event held last month at Clark’s North American headquarters in Lexington, Ky.

Forklifts of Minnesota Inc. in Minneapolis was named “Dealer of the Year” and Crosby Equipment Co. in Douglas, Ga., was named “New Dealer of the Year.” Clark has 200 dealer locations across the United States.

“This is a huge honor for us,” Hammond said. “It is awesome that a family-run dealership from Northeast Ohio performed better than major market dealers across North America.”
