YSU Announces New Associate Degree Tuition Rate
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown State University, working to fill the gap left in the region with the closing of Eastern Gateway Community College, has announced a new initiative to enhance access to higher education with a new associate degree tuition rate of $265 per credit hour, effective for the fall 2024 semester.
The new rate includes access to a full range of student services.
“Youngstown State University has a proud legacy of providing a world-class education to students from across the globe,” YSU President Bill Johnson said. “Our choice of education alternatives is growing, and with this new tuition rate, we are ensuring affordability without compromising on excellence.”
The reduced tuition rate applies to YSU’s existing associate degree programs, as well as the 50 new associate and certificate degree programs recently added to meet the educational needs of the region resulting from the closure of Eastern Gateway. Many of these programs serve as pathways to bachelor degrees and higher. A number of programs are already available, online and in person, with additional programs slated for implementation in the near future.
“We provide the full continuum of higher education alternatives, from credentials and certifications for early entry into the workforce, to associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees,” Johnson said. “Through these programs, our amazing faculty and staff turn out exceptional graduates who go on to make positive contributions to our region, state and nation.”
