The story follows three intrepid women explorers – Mary, Fanny and Alex – as they journey through the last uncharted territory. From negotiating with chameleonic cannibals to encountering eccentric trolls, this lyrical and surreal production promises a unique theatrical experience.
- “Pete The Penguin’s Vintage Variety Show: A Musical Comedy Extravaganza,” Nov. 22-24, Ford Theater: Musical theater students face the challenge of modernizing an outdated vaudeville script, blending the charm of the past with contemporary flair.
- “Playboy of the Western World,” Feb. 14-16 and 21-23, Spotlight Theater: Step into the rugged beauty of rural Ireland with J.M. Synge’s classic masterpiece. The timeless comedy follows Christy Mahon, a charming young man whose tall tales of heroism captivate a small village, leading to unexpected twists and laughter. This play combines humor, wit and poignant themes of identity and acceptance.
- “[title of show],” April 4-6 and 11-13, Spotlight Theater: This Tony-nominated musical breaks the fourth wall with infectious charm as Jeff, Hunter, Susan and Heidi navigate the highs and lows of creating a musical about creating a musical. With witty dialog and catchy tunes, this show celebrates the creative process.
