America Makes Elects New Executive Committee Members

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – America Makes, the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute, recently announced the newly elected members of its executive committee.

The executive committee, composed of individuals from industry, academia, government, workforce and economic development organizations, ensures that the appropriate strategy, policy and advocacy are in place for America Makes to achieve its mission of accelerating the adoption of additive manufacturing and the nation’s global manufacturing competitiveness.

“I’m thrilled to welcome this dynamic group of newly elected executive committee members,” said John Wilczynski, America Makes executive director. “Diversity has always been a cornerstone of our executive committees. This group brings representation from every corner of the additive manufacturing value chain, and their unique insights and strategic guidance will be vital as we continue pushing the boundaries of our mission.”

The committee, which meets regularly, consists of three appointed government representatives and eight representatives elected from three sectors within the membership community. Each elected member serves a two-year term.

The 2024-2026 executive committee members are:

  • Sandra DeVincent Wolf, executive director of the Carnegie Mellon University Manufacturing Futures Institute.
  • Barb Ewing, CEO of the Youngstown Business Incubator.
  • Jonaaron Jones, president and general manager of the additive manufacturing division at Beehive Industries.
  • Brian Meincke, vice president of global business development and innovation strategy at ASTM International.
  • Nick Mulé, director of the Additive Manufacturing Intelligence Center at Boeing.
  • Hector Sandoval, technical fellow for additive manufacturing for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.
  • Mark Shaw, chief engineer of defense industrial base strategy at the National Institute for Aviation Research.
  • Rick Russell, principal ADDvisor at The Barnes Global Advisors.

The government representatives are:

  • David Beck, principal, Space Industrial Base, U.S. Space Force.
  • Robert Carter, deputy chief of the materials and structures division at NASA Glenn Research Center.
  • Laura Macht, engineer and project management at the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center.
