Search Underway for New Grove City College President
GROVE CITY, Pa. – The search for Grove City College’s 10th president is officially on.
Board of Trustees Chair Edward D. Breen this week announced the formation of a Presidential Search Committee composed of trustees, faculty and alumni and the hiring of national executive search firm CarterBaldwin to find a successor to retiring President Paul J. McNulty.
“For only the ninth time in Grove City College’s 149-year history, the school is conducting a search for a new president,” Breen said. “Grove City College has been a blessing to many generations of families and students. The college’s rigorous academics, Christian orthodoxy, and independent spirit are a distinctive and attractive combination in American higher education. Our goal in this presidential transition is to go from strength to strength. We are eager to meet the well-qualified candidates that will come forward.”
Breen will chair the search committee, which also includes Janice Brenner, trustee; Mike Bright, professor of electrical and computer engineering; Michael Buckman, vice president for business and finance; Elizabeth Bulette, trustee; James Dudt, president of the Alumni Association; Phil Gasiewicz, trustee emeritus; Deborah Holt, treasurer of the board of trustees; David Porter, secretary of the board of trustees; Richard Sems, trustee; and Carl Trueman, professor of biblical and religious studies.
McNulty, a lawyer and former deputy U.S. attorney general, has led the private Christian liberal arts and sciences college since 2014. He announced plans in August to retire from the post at the conclusion of the 2024-25 academic year.
“We are very grateful to President Paul McNulty for his faithful leadership over the past 11 years and will cherish this last school year with him at the helm,” Breen said.
