A Sweet Way to Save the Bats

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Bats play a crucial role in pollination, especially in tropical and subtropical regions.

Unfortunately, bats are facing many threats, including habitat loss, climate change and human disturbance. Deforestation, urbanization and the use of pesticides have significantly reduced their available habitats and food sources. These factors, coupled with diseases, have led to population declines and endangerment for many bat species.

Sweet Memories Vintage Tees will kick off a local effort to tackle the problem with a family-friendly event Sunday, Oct, 20, starting at 11 a.m.

The store will launch Operation Pollination with a special T-shirt, Halloween costume contest, free mocktails, contest giveaways, free face painting and more.

The heart of the Operation Pollination Partnership apparel line, which the store will sell, lies in a specially designed collection of soft-style T-shirts created by Sweet Memories Vintage Tees.

Twenty percent of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to Operation Pollination, a national program that funds initiatives dedicated to protecting and conserving pollinators.

The exclusive T-shirt collection will be available for purchase HERE and the store at 1282 Trumbull Ave.
