Sweet Memories to Celebrate Anniversary with Weekend Events
LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Sweet Memories Vintage Tees will celebrate the one-year anniversary of its expansion with a weekend filled with fun, nostalgia and sweet treats.
The celebration will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 15-17.
On Nov. 15, Sweet Memories will launch its new collection of Atkinson Candy shirts, which will benefit Akron Children’s Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit. The collection features vintage brands Chick-O-Stick, Black Cow, Mary Jane Slo Poke and Long Boys. All customers who visit the store that day will receive free Chick-O-Sticks and Mary Jane candy, while supplies last.
On Nov. 16, the shop will launch its Swiss Miss shirt, which will benefit Meals on Wheels of Mahoning County and Trumbull Mobile Meals. Customers will receive free Swiss Miss hot chocolate packs, while supplies last. There will also be a complimentary hot chocolate bar and cookies and candy charcuterie. Pictures can be taken with Santa from noon to 3 p.m.
On Nov. 17, customers can bring their pets for a festive photo shoot, and author Brandy Gleason, founder of the Ohio Road Trips Group and CEO of Gleason Family Adventures, will sign books from noon to 2 p.m. Customers who show their Past Times Arcade wristband at checkout will receive 20% off their purchase. They’ll also get 20% off admission at the arcade on the same day by showing their Sweet Memories receipt.
A 5,000-square-foot addition was added to the shop at 1282 Trumbull Ave. last November, doubling its size. The store offers T-shirts with vintage logos, vintage board games, toys, candy and other items.
Since 2020, Sweet Memories has raised $62,497 for Akron Children’s neonatal intensive care unit through the sale of its apparel lines.
