New Vehicle Sales Decline Slightly Among Local Buyers
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Residents of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties purchased slightly fewer vehicles during October compared with the same month the previous year, according to data from the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association.
Local customers purchased 2,518 new vehicles from dealers last month, compared with 2,544 purchased during October 2023, a drop of 1%, data show.
Boardman Subaru recorded the most new vehicle sales in October with 182, followed by #1 Cochran Chevrolet with 124. Toyota of Boardman sold the third highest volume during the month with 121; Greenwood Chevrolet sold 120; and #1 Cochran Buick GMC sold 96 new cars and trucks during the month.
Used vehicle sales were also down, the Dealers’ Association reports.
Local buyers in October scooped up 1,898 used cars and trucks, compared with 2,116 in October 2023, a decline of 10%.
