Sharon Business, Property Owner Launches Loyalty Program

SHARON, Pa. – As a longtime business and commercial property owner in the city, Mike Lisac likes to help businesses find a place to set up shop in the buildings he owns. 

Now he’s taking it a step further with a loyalty program to support the businesses that rent from him.

“Running a business on your own can be challenging, so we decided to create a program to work together to help support each other,” said Lisac, referencing the business owners who make up the Lisac Properties “family.” 

“It’s also a way to encourage the community to support small businesses and to shop locally,” Lisac said.

The “family” of retail and culinary businesses include Allie’s Sweet Tooth, 47 E. State St., which includes pop-up Jess Makes Scents; Firebean Espresso, 154 E. State St.; ICG Hobbies & Games, 162 W. State St; Unwind Day Spa, 150 E. State St.; and The Wandering Soul: Books, Gifts & Furniture, which includes pop-up Robin’s Refills at 142 E. State St. It also includes Lisac’s business, Warehouse Sales, 200 W. Silver St.

Customers can get a loyalty card at any of the above businesses. After a customer makes purchases at four of the businesses and gets four holes punched on the loyalty card, it can be given to any of the businesses to be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card to one of the businesses. There will be a drawing every two months starting in December.

“It’s so heartwarming to see everyone coming together and work together to get our businesses more business,” said Jessica Miller, owner of Jess Makes Scents. “I work hard setting up at a lot of craft shows and holiday events, so this program is an easier way for me to promote my business and sell my products.”

Danielle Benic, owner of Unwind Day Spa, said she loves the idea.

“I’m a big fan of promoting each other and a big fan of encouraging my customers to shop at other businesses in downtown Sharon,” she said.

Tom Vaughn, owner of ICG Hobbies & Games, said he appreciates “having a landlord that supports these kinds of initiatives because working together can only help increase sales.”
