Huntington Bank Is Tops in JD Power Survey
COLUMBUS, Ohio – For a third consecutive year, J.D. Power has ranked Huntington Bank first in the North Central region of its U.S. Retail Banking Survey of 23 banks, the bank announced Tuesday,
This year’s results showed the bank scoring 835, seven points higher than a year ago, on Power’s 1,000-point scale.
The survey showed that Huntington customers especially liked the scope of products offered and policy on fees, the bank said.
The 2015 satisfaction survey was of 23 banks in the north central region of the United States, basically the Midwest, and measured customers’ attitudes on six factors: ease of understanding their account information, ability to conduct banking on smartphones, online and ATMs, appearance of their bank branch, fees, resolving problems and products offered.
Among the products Huntington has introduced that have resulted in increased customer satisfaction are its “Fair Play” initiatives, such as 24-Hour Grace and Asterisk-Free Checking. The 24-hour grace policy allows customers up to a day to make up a check overdraft. Asterisk-Free checking imposes no fee to open a checking account, requires no minimum balance and charges no monthly service fee.
