Police Seek Suspect in Downtown Huntington Bank Robbery
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Police are looking for the suspect in an afternoon robbery at the downtown branch of Huntington National Bank.
At 1:33 p.m., the suspect presented a note to a teller at the branch demanding money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Youngstown police.
No one was injured in the robbery, said Huntington spokesman Bill Eiler. He described the suspect as a bald, black male wearing a dark short-sleeved shirt and jeans.
Police report the suspect as 6’2” and 240 pounds, and around age 40.
As of 3:30 p.m., no one had been apprehended.
“We are working with the authorities on this and we expect to be open for business Monday,” Eiler said.
