Rust Belt Made to Host 1st Makers Market

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The first Rust Belt Made Makers Market, a curated, pop-up event created by a collective group of friends and makers, will be held Sunday at Stone Fruit Coffee Co. in Canfield. The event will feature like-minded Rust Belt makers, artisans and local industrious businesses.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Pop-up events are quick, fun, and unique and bring together local artists, makers, and businesses, organizers said. Community members can relax, shop, have coffee and food and support local makers and businesses.

In addition to Stone Fruit Coffee, the first Rust Belt Made Makers Market pop-up is sponsored by 1820 House, ala Jamie, and Trailside Bicycle Co. Some of the vendors will be 1820 House, ala Jamie, Stone Fruit Coffee, Trailside Bicycle, Vintie Design Co., Lola Bean’s Boutique, White Church Co., Cranky Pressman, Junque, Converse Custom Metal Design, Hawks Homestead and Carbonell Photography.

Rust Belt Made was created by Melissa Smith, owner and creator of 1820 House, Jamie Jamison, owner and creator of ala Jamie photography and mix-media art, and Jessica Sprowl Senedak, public relations and creative writer. Rust Belt Made was created to inspire, cultivate, and build relationships with diverse makers, artisans, and local businesses.
