Carmella Maria Products Earn ‘Editor’s Choice Awards’
Carmella Williams, owner and “kitchen chemist” of Carmella Marie, a natural hair-care company based in Youngstown, has won two 2018 Editors’ Choice Awards from TextureMedia, a hair and beauty content and eCommerce platform. Williams, who started her business in 2015, is director of diversity and inclusion at the Youngstown Business Incubator. Her company was honored by the website for Best Deep Conditioner in two categories, Wavy and Curly-Coily. Carmella Marie’s Deep Conditioner with Honey Hibiscus is one of the company’s top-sellers. Selection for the awards allows Williams to include a special seal on her packaging and marketing materials, and provides exposure on the TextureMedia website.
