Elaine Maro has joined Oh Wow!The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology, Youngstown, as associate director. Maro will assist with development, fundraising and event planning, bringing her nonprofit leadership and grant-writing skills to enhance hands-on “EDUtainment” opportunities at the museum. She previously served as executive director of a small health-care nonprofit, which sparked her desire to make an impact in her community. “I’m so happy to be part of an organization that is well-respected and known to bring joy to children and parents alike,” Maro says. She earned her B.S. in public health and masters degree in health and human services from Youngstown State University, where she is an adjunct instructor.
