WCBA Student Named Best Presenter at Ads Contest
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Megan Factor, a recent graduate of the Williamson College of Business Administration, was named Best Presenter at the National Student Advertising competition.
The contest, held earlier this month in Cleveland, required students to develop a campaign for OceanSpray to generate engagement with millennials. Other participating Youngstown State University students were Anna Henkels, Jake Cole and Nick DelSignore.
Students spent the semester researching consumer habits, conducting focus groups, developed a campaign theme and, through a collaboration with the graphic design program in the College of Creative Arts and Communications, compiled plan books.
“We really put our all into this campaign and I think it’s something for each member of Ads Club to be proud of,” Factor said in a release. “We acted like a real advertising agency with everything from a media buying department to graphic designers and we were able to produce campaign that was up to industry standards.”
Factor graduated in May with a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations and a minor in graphic design.
