Explore History of How We Dress this Sunday

WARREN, Ohio – The July installment of the 2018 Sunday Speaker Series promises to “wow” its audience with a lecture designed to explore the history of how we dress.

The “Wow Factor: 150 Years of Collecting Bold Clothes” lecture will be presented by Patricia Edmonso, museum advisory council curator of costume and textiles of the Western Reserve Historical Society.

It will  be held from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the Kinsman House, 303 Mahoning Ave.

The presentation will examine how fashion triggers emotion with beauty, craftsmanship, rarity, and humor. And it’s a story of the clothes and the bold, diverse people who wore them, including people in Ohio who were or are immigrants, scholars, artists, athletes, philanthropists and CEOs.

The program is free and refreshments will be served.
