Santiago Named First Community Development VP at Farmers

CANFIELD, Ohio – Farmers National Bank has named Juan Santiago as vice president, community development manager, which is a newly-created position responsible for optimizing the bank’s community development efforts as well as ensuring low to moderate income families in the bank’s service area have access to loans.

In this role, Santiago will also be originating both residential and small business loans.

Santiago is a Mahoning Valley native with a long career in banking. He is an expert in mortgages and has demonstrated particular effectiveness in working with first-time home buyers, a press release said.

In addition to his professional experience, Santiago brings a wealth of related experiences to his new role; he is a commissioner with the Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority, where he serves on the authority’s Revitalize Home Mortgage initiative and is an active member of both the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference and Professionals Partnering with Christ, a faith-based professional networking group.
