Keystone Blind Association recently named Laurie Staph its new president and CEO. She replaces Jonathan Fister who announced his retirement after 40 years of service in the community. In addition to Keystone Blind Association, Staph will serve as the president and CEO of Keystone Independence Management, which handles the day-to-day operations of six agencies across Pennsylvania. Keystone provides health and human services for blind and visually impaired individuals as well as employment opportunities for blind and disable individuals through various government contracts. When Fister joined Keystone 40 years ago, it had an $80,000 annual budget and eight full-time staff members. Today its annual budget in nearly $25 million and the agency employs more than 600. Staph joined Keystone in 2019 as chief financial officer and was promoted to senior vice president of finance in 2015. She is a graduate of Union High School in New Castle, Pa., and earned her B.S. in accounting and MBA from Gannon University in Erie, Pa.
