Youngstown United Way Kicks Off Centennial Feb. 11
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – To celebrate its centennial, the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley will launch a public awareness campaign alongside its signature events.
“We are thrilled to celebrate this incredible milestone. Our United Way has a rich history and has truly made generations of impact since the early 20th century.” said Bob Hannon, president of the local United Way, in a release. “Throughout 2019, we will honor our past and look to our future. We will invite our donors, volunteers, supporters, and friends of the United Way to celebrate with us in various ways over the next year.”
The first event in the Centennial Celebration will be held Feb. 11 at The Lake Club with a press conference and lunch to honor the 100th anniversary of the United Way of Youngstown’s incorporation.
Four long-time supporters of the United Way will serve as the presenting sponsors of the yearlong celebration: Greenwood Chevrolet, PNC Bank, The Muransky Companies and Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC.
