June Auto Sales Down Slightly in Valley
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Sales of new and used automobiles in the tri-county area dipped slightly to 4,881, down from 4,973 in May, according to data from the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers Association. However, that’s up 251 from June 2018.
Sweeney Chevy Buick GMC led the month with 526 new and used vehicles sold between its two Boardman dealerships. Greenwood Chevy, Austintown, followed with 302; Taylor Kia, Boardman, with 218; Boardman Subaru with 203; and Stadium GM Superstore with 197.
Jim Shorkey Youngstown Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Austintown, saw the biggest month-to-date increase with 124 new and use vehicles sold, for a total of 143.
For new vehicles sold, Sweeney Chevrolet led with 217, followed by Greenwood Chevy with 190, Sweeney Buick GMC with 188, Stadium GM Superstore with 135, Boardman Subaru with 128 and Taylor Kia with 118.
Greenwood Chevy led used vehicle sales with 112 for the month, followed by Fred Martin Ford Inc., Youngstown, with 102 and Taylor Kia with 100.
