Meet 3 New Members of Business Journal Staff
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Business Journal is expanding our staff as part of our commitment to enhance innovative news coverage in the region.
By integrating quality of life into our mission, we are pleased to add Guy D’Astolfo as entertainment editor. D’Astolfo covered the entertainment scene for 14 years for The Vindicator. A native of Pittsburgh, he graduated from Duquesne University with a degree in journalism.
Before coming to Youngstown, he worked as a reporter, copy editor and city editor for The Delaware State News in Dover, Del. He lives in Austintown.
“I am happy to be able to continue covering the A&E scene in Youngstown,” D’Astolfo says. “The Business Journal’s veteran staff has been a respected part of the Valley’s media landscape for a long time, and it’s stepping up to do even greater work in the wake of The Vindicator’s closure.”
Robyn Lazich is our new graphic artist. She worked at The Vindicator 17 years, beginning as a paginator and then as a production artist, and was recognized for her support and versatility. Lazich earned a B.S. degree in business administration with a major in advertising art from Youngstown State University. She resides in Campbell.
“I’m excited about the expansion and future of The Business Journal,” she says, “and I’m excited about learning new skills.”
Christiana Savo joins us as a sales and marketing analyst. She is majoring in persuasive communication at Youngstown State University and hopes to graduate in December. She has interned at the Youngstown Business Incubator and the City Club of the Mahoning Valley, where she now serves on the advisory committee. She lives in Canfield.
“I enjoy the fast-paced environment and the unique news perspective The Business Journal has brought to our region,” she says.
The Business Journal continues to implement the expansion of our coverage. New in our MidSeptember print edition is a compilation of new Ohio incorporations. In addition to listing real estate transactions in Mahoning County, we now are listing sales above $100,000 in Columbiana and Trumbull counties.
