Marshall’s Opens Tomorrow, Ashley Furniture Coming Next
BOARDMAN, Ohio – A new department store is opening tomorrow at Tiffany Square here and a new furniture store will soon be its neighbor.
Marshalls will cut the ribbon at 7:30 a.m. to open its 25,000-square-foot store at 1130 Boardman-Poland Road. To celebrate the opening, the retailer says it will make a $5,000 donation to the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley.
Meanwhile, Ashley Furniture HomeStore is making plans to occupy an adjacent 28,000 square feet, Kutlick Realty LLC announced Wednesday. No date was given for when this store will open.
Ashley Furniture HomeStore is based in Arcadia, Wis. Its products are made by Ashley Furniture Industries Inc., the largest furniture manufacturer in North America, and are sold through independent retail partners in 123 countries.
Marshalls, based in Framingham, Mass., is an off-price retailer that operates 990 stores in 48 states and Puerto Rico. The company, a unit of TJX Companies, describes its inventory as “on-trend brand name and designer” clothing, shoes, accessories, home, pet and beauty items.
“The new Boardman store will be stocked weekly with a new, fresh assortment of the brand name and designer merchandise that our shoppers love,” said Richard Sherr, president of Marshalls, in a prepared statement. “Our buyers are fashion experts with a keen sense of style and are passionate about finding the most coveted merchandise for our shoppers for so much less.”
The new Marshalls employs 60 full- and part-time workers.
The newly renovated Tiffany Plaza is also home to national retailers Hobby Lobby and Fin Feather Fur. A new McDonalds opened there recently and a Chick fil A is under construction.
Additional commercial space is available there, according to Kutlick Realty, including one remaining outlot.
