Lisa Resnick Joins Burgan Friedkin Commercial Group
BOARDMAN, Ohio — For Lisa Resnick, a native of the Mahoning Valley, moving to commercial brings her real estate career full circle.
After a brief stint in campaign politics following her graduation from Youngstown State University, she began her real estate career on the commercial side at Lowe Enterprises working in acquisitions, asset management, development, and leasing for large scale retail and office developments in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
There she gained an insider’s perspective working directly with developers, localities, and executives to ensure they found the right business occupant(s) to help meet their goal of creating desirable locations. Resnick then transitioned to residential real estate. Over a six-year period she was a top performer within her brokerage.
Still, Resnick saw all the progress being made in her hometown and wanted to be part of the positive change. In 2016, she and her family made the move back to the Mahoning Valley. In 2018 she joined Burgan Real Estate, immediately becoming one of the top producers.
“I found a home for my career when I moved back to the area with Burgan Real Estate,” Resnick says. “The opportunity to be on the forefront of growing Burgan Friedkin, while helping our local businesses and economy succeed are new challenges and rewards no other company can offer.”
A true advocate for our area, her career successes were accompanied by successes in the community, launching initiatives such as “Walk Youngstown,” which seeks to grow the downtown area by making it more walkable and attractive for residents to experience all it has to offer, “Homes & Hops,” a podcast and video series highlighting our great local breweries, small businesses and the positive impacts they have on their surrounding neighborhoods.
She is also a 2020 Athena Award Nominee.
“Lisa Resnick’s infectious personality, expertise and relentless commitment to lifting up local businesses in the Mahoning Valley adds more than just one of real estate’s most successful individuals to Burgan Friedkin; it elevates the entire area with an individual who expects nothing less than the best for our area,” said Patrick Burgan, co- owner of Burgan Friedkin.
“Everything she touches turns into a success, and we are excited for her to do the same with her career in our organization.”
