Youngstown United Way Opens Grant Funding Process
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley this week opens its funding process to any nonprofit organization delivering education and emergency services in Mahoning County and in Girard, Liberty and Hubbard in Trumbull County.
“By following the lead of United Way Worldwide and working with our community partners on focused impact areas, we will continue to create powerful collaborations to address our Valley’s specific issues while providing comprehensive services and measureable results for those in need.” said Bob Hannon, president of United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, “We look forward to receiving program proposals that establish strategies that meet the needs of our community in the areas of Education and Emergency Services.”
Nonprofit organizations who wish to apply for funding through United Way should visit YMUnitedWay.org for planning documents that outline the focus areas and strategies. Any agencies with programs not currently receiving funding who wish to apply must submit a letter of intent by Nov. 1 to Laura Weymer via email.
Grant applications will be open Nov. 16 via Apricot for Funders, an online system, and will close Jan. 15. For more information, call Weymer at 330 746 8494.
